CITY CHERNOBYL
Chernobyl is a city that the whole world knows about, the reason for this is a man-made disaster on April 26 in 1986 at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. It is located in the Kiev region 130 kilometers from the capital. The city of Chernobyl within a radius of 30 kilometers is called the “exclusion zone” in connection with the consequences of the explosion at a nuclear power plant. The area is open to tourists from all over the world on special conditions. SPHERE TOUR Travel Agency will become a guide to your tours to Chernobyl.
EXHIBITION TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION
The explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant entailed devastating consequences. A large number of various equipment took part in the liquidation of the accident. The technique came to the aid of a person where without it it was impossible to cope. Now in the city of Chernobyl in the open air there is a small museum of the very equipment that took part in the liquidation operation. You can find the museum near the fire station. Many machines have been disposed of for a long time, since after working at high levels of radiation, such equipment of those times cannot be used. The museum presents restored exhibits, which can only be approached at a certain distance.
MEMORIAL COMPLEX “STAR OF WOODEN”
In 2011, 25 years passed after the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. In memory of the tragedy, a memorial complex “WESTERN WESTERNS” was created. The memorial museum consists of installations and monuments that carry a certain message about the accident: the composition “Trumpeting Angel”, an alley of abandoned villages, etc. In the premises of the once functioning cinema, an exhibition was created with unique photographs that make it possible to understand how widespread the destruction from the disaster occurred.
LENIN MONUMENT
Until a certain time, the monument to Lenin, Vladimir Ilyich, was a mandatory “resident” of almost every city in the post-Soviet space. The city of Chernobyl was no exception.
MONUMENT TO THOSE WHO SAVED THE WORLD
Chernobyl firefighters were among the first to start the fight against the Chernobyl accident. To the left of the fire station is a small exhibition of equipment that took part in the aftermath of the accident. Monument to firefighters stands at the central entrance to the unit. The liquidators themselves collected the money for it, the monument is made of ordinary reinforced concrete and painted with gray paint. The figures have real prototypes – people who sacrificed their health and life.
CARGO PORT
The mission of the cargo port in Chernobyl was to receive the necessary materials for the expansion of the modern city and the construction of new power units at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The intended task was never completed. Today, huge cars, metal cranes and floating equipment have remained abandoned on the shore, and some equipment has long since disappeared under water.
CHERNOBYL ZATON
A cemetery of radioactive river technology, with the help of which irradiated goods were transported. Some ships still stand on the pier, frozen in time, covered with a layer of rust. The Pripyat River will soon become their resting place, swallowing the ship cemetery with its own waters.
